This fundraiser is sure to bring not only funds in, but smiles and memories to last throughout the school year. This school Olympics fundraiser comes with a twist sure to delight parents and kids alike!.

Sure there will be races, long jumps, tosses and hurdles, but the races will consist of three legged racing, sack racing, wheelbarrow racing. Other events would be Frisbee tossing, long jumps with house shoes on, jump rope vaulting and hula hoop gymnastics. Tricycle racing and lunch box hurdles can be included. The Olympics are not complete without water events, so for the water events small swimming pools can be used for bobbing for a specific amount of apples. These events are limited only to the imagination of those putting the fundraiser together.
The fundraising comes in through charging for admission to the school Olympics. No outside event is complete without snacks and drinks, so this would be a golden opportunity to set up concessions areas. These could include: A hotdog station, drinks station, and popcorn station. You could even set up a booth to sell school paraphernalia. T-shirts, pencils, school pendants, anything to help support this event.

Hotdogs could be made ahead of time, put in a warm bun, individually wrapped in tinfoil and stored in a Styrofoam chest containers to keep them warm. The condiments such as mustard, ketchup and relish can be added if requested at the stand. Be sure to charge at least $1.00 for these delicious food items.

For the drinks area, cans of different types of drinks can be housed in ice chest. Selling them for a dollar each as well will bring in a profit. If you can convince someone to sponsor the cost of the food, you can make even more money!

Popcorn can be popped just before the event and individually sacked for easy distribution. Volunteers can bake cookies and brownies, A snow cone machine can even be rented to add even more fun!

Party supply stores and some dollar stores carry these ribbons and cost very little to purchase. The certificates can be mimeographed off an original certificate cutting the cost for these down to next to nothing.

Be sure to send home fliers with the students announcing the day and time of the event prior to the fundraiser. You want as many parents and guest to show up as possible. If it should rain then have an alternate day and time planned. Hosting this event at the schools track and field area will be big enough to seat the parents, students and guest of this fundraiser.
Each race can be ended with ribbons given to the first, second and third place winner. Certificates of participation can be given to all who take part. These are small mementos, but the kids will enjoy receiving them for their part in sharing in the fundraiser.
